Bon Stool

The Bon Stool by Karakter is a sculptural seating object that balances utility with Aldo Bakker's unmistakable sense of form. Designed in 2017 as a reworking of Bakker's Pink Stool, Bon is composed from two contrasting container-like volumes: a deep vertical base and a flatter horizontal seat. The result is a stool that feels both functional and artful, equally at home beside a lounge chair, in an entryway, or as a standalone object.

Dutch artist and designer Aldo Bakker is known for work that communicates through material, proportion, color, and touch. Bon reflects that approach through its calm geometry and carefully considered material presence. The design appears simple at first glance, but its balance of upright and horizontal forms gives it a quiet tension that rewards a longer look.
