A1965 Pendant

The A1965 Pendant is one of Paavo Tynell's most recognizable lighting designs, combining elegant proportions with innovative functionality. First introduced in the late 1940s, the pendant was created to bring greater flexibility to overhead lighting through its distinctive counterweighted lift mechanism, allowing the fixture to be raised or lowered as needed. Originally unveiled at Finland House in New York, the A1965 Pendant represents the height of Tynell's mid-century design language.
